TINY SPIDER.©
High above the flower bed,
Tiny spider spin your web.
You patiently await your prey,
In your silky maze.
An unsuspecting victim,
A dragonfly, an ant or bee
Is enticed into your exquisite scene
And becomes entangled in the sticky protein.
Your attack is swift and focused
And in an instant your quarry paralysed
With venom from your needle fangs;
Oh, tiny spider, you think you are so grand!
You’ll feed at your leisure
On your tasty treasure,
But wait little spider
Is that a bulbul flitting by?
In an instant, he plucks you from your web
And flies up into the sky!
Goodbye tiny spider, goodbye.
